Un Club, Une Histoire
1936 : Naissance du club
Ce n’est qu’au début du 20ème siècle que ce sport est introduit en France, l’engouement est tel que pas moins de 6 clubs existaient déjà dans les années 1930 à Bordeaux.
C’est durant l’une de ces rencontres, qu’André DOURSAT, négociant en vins, tomba sous le charme du rink-hockey , qui allait faire ses premiers pas dans notre cité en 1936 grâce à son impulsion et celle de ses comparses, messieurs BEAUMONT, DALIDET et DUCOURTIOUX : le Hockey Patin- Club Coutrillon était né.
Les moyens de l’époque pour la pratique de ce sport étaient très limités, les joueurs étaient munis de crosses taillées dans les douelles de barrique, les roues étaient en bois et les entraînements avaient lieu dans les chais de M. DOURSAT, impasse Lalande.
En 1950, après 15 ans de prospection, de formation, avec une interruption durant la guerre, le club évolue sous le marché couvert.
A cette époque, les entraînements ont lieu une fois par semaine, nécessitant un gros travail de préparation, puisqu’il fallait nettoyer le sol et enlever les bancs et les tables qui servaient, comme aujourd’hui, aux différents vendeurs venus proposer leur production aux clients. Le soir de match, un nombreux public assiste aux rencontres.
En 1954, à la suite d’une malheureuse dissidence, un nouveau club voit le jour.
Voici Coutras avec deux équipes de rink-hockey !
Les Pingouins du Hockey Club Baudou, entraînés par Y.BARDINEAU et les Tigres du Skating Club de Coutras entraînés par P.RIVIERE.
Après deux années de rencontres quelque peu musclées entre les deux formations, le public coutrillon a l’opportunité, fait mémorable et unique en France, d’assister à la Finale du Championnat de France excellence (2ème division à l’époque) entre les deux clubs de la cité.
1964, le premier titre
Sur la piste du marché couvert en 1962
En 1962, après beaucoup de diplomatie, et sous l’impulsion de Monsieur Jean Duret (premier adjoint), de Jean Doursat, André Chauvreau et Raymond Ducourtioux, les deux clubs fusionnent afin de donner une nouvelle dimension et un nouvel essor à l’association, l’Union Sportive de Coutras présidée par Jean Doursat vient de naître. C’est l’époque où l’équipe des BERNON, SEUREAU, BUCHET, LAFARGUE, BEAUMONT, CHAGNEAU, GUYNIER, DUCOURNEAU, LAURENT, FONFREDE, Milou DUCOURTIOUX est au sommet de son art et PETRINI débute une grande carriére.
Equipe championne en 1964
La première équipe championne de France est composée de :Roger Pétrini, Michel Deschemin, Henri Ducourneau, Robert Chagneau, Christian Guynier, Jean-Claude Seureau, Milou Ducourtioux, Christian Beaumont, Bernard Fonfrède.
Avec les renforts de Marc Garreau, Robert Gonzalo, Jean-François Bardineau, Patrick Canel, tous internationaux, l’USC dominera le hockey français, remportant 9 titres entre 1964 et 1977 incorporant dès 1974 les frères Ducourtioux et Jacques Carteau.
Les années 80 : Une nouvelle génération entre dans l’histoire.
Equipe championne en 1984
En 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986… les hockeyeurs coutrillons signent la plus glorieuse période du club, remportant quatre titres de Champion de France première division pendant ces quatre années, record égalé par ST OMER et QUEVERT, les coutrillons gardant cependant un avantage, deux titres ayant été acquis sans concéder la moindre défaite, ni même le moindre match nul, 56 rencontres et autant de victoires d’affilée, du jamais vu dans l’histoire de notre sport, et peut-être même tous sports confondus.
A cette époque, tous les joueurs étaient issus de la cité des bords de l’Isle et de La Dronne, la politique de formation, ainsi que la valeur des entraîneurs comme Roger PETRINI, Jean-Claude LAFARGUE et Milou DUCOURTIOUX pour ne citer qu’eux, avaient permis de réaliser cet exploit.
L’équipe était composée de Philippe SEURIN et Damien CLAUZURE, les gardiens, dans le champ Jacques CARTEAU, Philippe LALET, Patrick et Claude DUCOURTIOUX, Alain SEUREAU, Eric PERAZAT, Didier BOURREAU et Frédéric BILLEAU. L’entraîneur était Roger PETRINI, le Président Milou DUCOURTIOUX. Durant cette période, quatre coutrillons font partie de l’équipe de France, P. LALET, J. CARTEAU, C. & P. DUCOURTIOUX.
Equipe championne de 1983 à 1986
L’entraîneur de cette équipe de France qui est aussi D.T.N à la fédération Française de Roller Skating est également un coutrillon très connu dans la monde du Rink-Hockey.
Il s’agit de Bernard FONFREDE.
Il a été, au sein de la Fédération, la personne qui a le plus apporté en matière de reconnaissance de la part des pouvoirs publics, faisant progresser les aides de l’état de façon très significative, permettant aux athlètes des trois disciplines de la FFRS, de pouvoir préparer les compétitions internationales dans de meilleures conditions.
C’est grâce à cette préparation qu’en 1984, à PARIS, lors des Championnats du Monde du groupe B, la France a terminé Championne du Monde.
De nombreux titres sont venus récompenser les athlètes de la FFRS, et ceci grâce à cette possibilité qui était offerte aux différents compétiteurs de pouvoir se préparer au mieux pour les différentes échéances qui les attendaient.
En 1987, Coutras perdra son titre et ne le gagnera plus.
Depuis 1986 et leur 14ème titre de Champion de France, les hockeyeurs coutrillons n’ont jamais réussi à revenir à leur plus haut niveau.
En 1991, l’équipe se classe 11ème et descend en seconde division.
Elle y restera 4 années et remontera parmi l’élite en 1995.
A cinq journées de la fin de la saison 96, elle est dans une position des plus défavorable, puisqu’à nouveau relégable.
Les membres du Comité directeur font alors appel à deux joueurs espagnols, Enrique BUXADERAS et Quim PUJADAS.
Ces deux joueurs, par leur qualité technique mais aussi humaine permettront à l’USC de se maintenir, la salle faisant le plein de spectacteurs lors des trois dernières rencontres de cette saison.
Depuis, les coutrillons sont en première division, retrouvant la coupe d’Europe en 1998, deux joueurs sont venus renforcer l’effectif coutrillon, S. HERIN et L. GAUCHER qui ont apporté aux jeunes coutrillons leur statut de joueurs de haut niveau.
Avec quatre nouvelles recrues pour la saisons 1998 à 2002, le club pensait pouvoir revenir à nouveau au plus haut niveau, et malgré une équipe très compétitive, avec quatre internationaux et deux joueurs argentins, l’amalgame de ces joueurs au tempérament bien marqué ne s’est pas faite, si bien que Coutras n’a pas eu les résultats escomptés.
Les années 2000: Le renouveau puis le sacre
Arrivés en 2002, Sébastian CANO et Cirilo GARCÍA, deux joueurs argentins prêtent main forte à Coutras.
Pour compléter l’équipe, le Président Claude DUCOURTIOUX a fait appel à un joueur espagnol, Àngel PUYANÉ ainsi qu’au gardien de NOISY, Renaud HALLOUIN, le reste de l’équipe étant composée de joueurs du cru, avec une moyenne d’âge de 21 ans.
L’objectif affiché est de retrouver les joutes européennes. Il sera atteint en 2006. Coutras redevient une des meilleures équipe de l’hexagone. La concurrence est rude, La Roche sur Yon, Saint-Omer, Quévert se partagent les tites. Mais Coutras est là et accroche le podium en 2009. Cette troisième place sera suivie de deux titres acquis de haute lutte. Les hommes du Capitaine Cano ont atteint un niveau de jeu d’une qualité rare et redonné le sourire à tous leurs supporters.

2011 : Filles et Garçons, L’Apothéose
Tandis que les garçons retrouvaient les sommets du championnat, les filles n’étaient pas en reste. Dans la première décennie du 21ème siècle, la patinoire Milou Ducourtioux a vu naître la plus belle équipe de Rink-Hockey féminin en France. Les filles sont maintenant 12 fois championnes de France. 4 Coutrillones sont aussi Championnes du Monde.
